Accomplished Industry Leader Also Recognized with the 2015 Diamond Circle Club Award for Top Individual Residential Sales
GREENWOOD VILLAGE – James T. Wanzeck, Managing Broker and owner of RE/MAX Masters Millennium in Greenwood Village, has been honored with the Protecting Our Future Award in loving memory of Oliver Frascona by the South Metro Denver Realtor Association (SMDRA).
Wanzeck also received SMDRA’s Diamond Circle Club Award recognizing the office with the highest sales volume and most transactions in 2015 for an office with between 51 and 100 brokers. In addition, he was honored with the Five Carat 2015 Diamond Circle Club Award for Top Individual Residential Sales for 2015. These prestigious awards were presented during SMDRA’s fourth annual Diamond Circle Award celebration held April 29, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center.
Oliver Frascona, a leading real estate attorney and partner with the Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein law firm, died tragically in an airplane crash in August 2014. His clients included many of metro Denver’s most prominent real estate associations and real estate brokerages, including SMDRA. Frascona’s law firm continues to represent SMDRA, which created the award in his honor. He was a protector of the industry.
Wanzeck is just the second recipient of the Frascona award, which was presented to him by Kay Watson, the first recipient of the award. In her address, Watson mentioned the remarkable contributions to SMDRA and important positions that Wanzeck has held over the years, including chairman of the board, director, Distinguished Service Award recipient, and many others, including chairman of REColorado. To win the Frascona award, real estate professionals must meet a lengthy list of criteria, including service and dedication to the industry and real estate associations.
Master of Ceremonies for the Diamond Circle Awards was Reggie Rivers, a former NFL running back who played six seasons with the Denver Broncos during the 1990s. Reggie is a media personality and business owner, who has worked in newspaper, radio and television in Denver. Music was provided by The Hazel Miller Band, an eclectic R&B, jazz, and blues group. Miller’s music is played on jazz radio stations across the country and is a frequent performer at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
