Christina de Barros, a leading real estate professional with RE/MAX Masters Millennium of Greenwood Village, has announced the LifeSpark 15th Anniversary NightSparks Fundraiser to benefit cancer patients on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Wellshire Event Center in Denver.
LifeSpark Cancer Resources is a Denver-based non-profit organization that provides Reiki and Healing Touch therapies at no charge to individuals with cancer and their caregivers.
De Barros became a LifeSpark Reiki volunteer in August 2019. She was instrumental in obtaining the Jantala Thai Message Spa as a location for LifeSpark sessions. De Barros now gives LifeSpark sessions at the spa’s Denver City Park neighborhood location.
“In an age when there is medication for every malady, more and more patients are rejecting pharmaceuticals for conditions such as pain and anxiety because of the heavy load of side-effects,” said de Barros. “LifeSpark’s therapies are natural, supportive, and non-addictive, and they support the whole person, restoring peace and well-being while enhancing a patient’s quality of life. I cordially invite the public to support this remarkable non-profit organization by purchasing tickets for the March 27th fundraiser, which will include dinner, silent and live auctions, in addition to dancing to the Groove N Motion and the Rocky Mountain Horns.”
LifeSpark provides sessions at over 25 locations along the Front Range, including three hospitals, 14 Elements Massage studios, and numerous churches and spas. Hospital partners include UCHealth Anschutz Cancer Center, UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, and Denver Health Medical Center. LifeSpark also visits patient’s homes when they are too sick to drive. The services are offered at no charge, and last year the organization provided support to over 500 individuals with cancer.
“We help cancer patients feel better physically and emotionally,” said Sandy Priester,
LifeSpark co-founder and Executive Director. “When the patient feels better, their family and
friends can relax, which then has a positive ripple effect out into the community. Our
organization is grass roots based, with a bare-bones budget and very small staff. We count on
donors and volunteers from all parts of the community to help out. Our NightSparks gala is one
way that people can participate and support the organization. I want to personally invite people
to come and be part of this dynamic community and help those afflicted with cancer.”
The dress for the NightSparks fundraiser is cocktail attire. Tickets can be purchased at

Christina de Barros was recently recognized with the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award from RE/MAX LLC, a prestigious award that honors highly successful RE/MAX real estate professionals who have reached an established level of commission income after
