Colorado features one-of-a-kind music festivals that are among the best in the country. If you missed any of them, no worries. There are some great festivals coming up.

The Denver Underground Music Showcase is scheduled for July 6-15, and it’s the perfect place to witness Colorado and The Mile High City’s exploding music scene. The Denver Post hosts this annual bonanza in Denver’s Broadway neighborhood. Nearly every space viable for an intimate jam session opens its doors for music-lovers looking to discover the next Billboard-topping band.

The Ride Festival on July 14-15 in Telluride, brings a wide variety of acts to town, including David Byrne and St. Vincent, Beck and Thievery Corporation. This year’s festival lineup provides a blend of rock, jam bands, folk and pop music. Highlights include Grace Potter, ZZ Ward, Barnes Courtney, and Futurebirds.

The Arise Music Festival on August 3-5 at Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, features a lively bill of electronic, folk and jam artists. There is also a series of yoga classes and performance art pieces if you need a break from the music. Featured groups include Thievery Corporation, Dragondeer, and Gasoline Lollipops.

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest offers three days of free live music from August 10-12 in downtown Fort Collins. Mostly Colorado acts are featured, and Bohemian Nights also puts on a free concert every Thursday night throughout the summer. Featured acts include the Decemberists, Blondie, and SHEL.

The Velorama Music Festival arrived in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood last year. Held this year from August 17-19 in conjunction with a bicycle race that travels through multiple cities in Colorado.
